Yes. The T12 contains plastic components, but they are NSF 61–certified, meaning they meet strict safety standards for materials used in drinking water systems and will not break down or contaminate the water.
While we would ideally eliminate all plastic from the machine, using stainless steel tanks and tubing would significantly increase the cost and place the system out of reach for many customers. The materials used in the T12 represent the best balance between safety, durability, and affordability, helping prevent contamination such as microplastics while keeping the machine accessible to more people seeking water independence. 💧
